Agriculture continues to play dominant role in the economy of Pakistan. National economic growth heavily depends upon the performance of agriculture.
Agriculture alone contributed handsome add up to the GDP and provided employment opportunities to as many as of the workforce. Besides these contributions, it continues to be the main source of raw material for the major industries like cotton, textile, and sugar etc.
