In 1991 “Paktel” launched the first mobile service in Pakistan, Initially owned by world renowned company Cable & Wireless; Paktel, through the use of TDMA technology. But, with the passage of time its service and network connection became less attractive for its customers and unprofitable for the company. “The reasons behind its low market share to describe that some clashes with PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority), and late issued the license, also create uncertainty in the environment for its owners (so they were hesitated to put finance or invest) and that became an opportunity for its competitors”. Now, “China Mobiles” (renowned firm for telecommunication services) get the authority of Paktel and they are determinant for relaunch its services.
